Brunswick Eco-fair

Hey, this is Hannah again! I am sorry for not doing another blog post sooner. It has been a busy few months, so please forgive me.

This blog post is about the Brunswick Eco-fair. I set up a booth there on April 23, 2016. At the Eco-fair, there were eco-friendly activities for kids, like making dog toys from braided old tee-shirts. There were also people from different organizations like the Georgia Sea Turtle Center that talked about ways to help our environment. There were eco-friendly people that sold stuff there, too, like the people from Turtle Tides at St. Simons Island. I talked to them a lot about my project. They said I could maybe set up a booth right outside of their shop. They were very nice!

I spread my message at the Eco-fair using my display board and information cards and telling people about my blog website. On the information cards, it talked about my “Save Our Ocean” tee-shirts and more information about my “Trash for Turtles” project. I talked to people about not throwing trash on the highways and streets. I spread the message about cleaning up trash, such as doing road clean ups or just walking on the beach seeing trash and picking it up. I also talked about recycling and reusing plastic.

When I was there, people had all sorts of questions. One of the questions was, “How did you get inspired to do all of the things that you have done?” That answer was simple. I talked about when I first got to see the Georgia Sea Turtle Center.

Then someone said, “Continue to help this world.” I liked that one.
