2018 Trash for Turtles Fundraiser Kickoff

Can you believe this is my 6th year for Trash for Turtles?! This year, I am continuing my local work to advocate for change to clean up my county. More to come on that, but today, I want to focus on fundraising. This year, I will be fundraising to buy game cameras for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the Satilla River Water Trail Partnership. These cameras will be used in a sea turtle nest predation study on Sapelo Island and for a Satilla River monitoring program. My goal is to raise $1500 by the start of sea turtle nesting season on May 1st!

I am excited to sell Pura Vida bracelets and stainless steel straw sets this year as part of my fundraiser. I designed the bracelets myself, which was a fun way for me to share my story. I will only be selling 200 of each — and for just $6 each — so get yours before they’re gone!
