January-February Recycling Club Update [Video]

Recycling Club ROCKS!  We are small, but one mighty group!

After the Christmas break, it took us a while to get rolling again. For the January-February period, we have three main updates:

1. On February 12th, the Recycling Club organized a local clean up for our school. This was part of the ongoing TRASH-a-thon. I have already written about this, so you can learn more about that here.
2. We also researched and wrote five “Green Tips” with information on how we can recycle at my school. We have videoed several of these already and put them on our school news. Here is an example of one! 
3. Finally, we decided to fundraise next year to get water bottle refilling stations at our school, so students and staff can bring reusable water bottles and fill them up. We tried to get a grant for this project a few months ago, but we did not get that. We think it is still a great idea, though, so we want to raise our own money to achieve our goal!
