Make a Change

“Just as ripples spread out when a single pebble is dropped into water, the actions of individuals can have far-reaching effects.” ~Dalai Lama

In the upcoming days, I will have the opportunity to share my story with others, learn how to be a better leader, and better comunicate with fellow kids. I will get the opportunity to share my project and how it has morphed and spread over the years. I am also excited to hear from other kids to see the good they are doing in the world. Below are a few tips to help you make a difference in your community.

It is important for kids (like YOU!) to stand up for what you believe in! Take a stand for what’s right, and remeber to be yourself! Because the trash problem went unsolved in my community, I stood up and helped people become more aware of our problem. Don’t be afraid of failure and negative comments. Failure makes success more meaningful. People can say what they want, but know that you are doing the right thing. If you are determind and strong, you can make it through anything the world can throw at you. You’re never too small to make a difference!

Thank you for reading and I hope YOU will make a change in your community! Also, 2020 is approaching fast, so stay tuned for the upcoming 8th annual Trash for Turtles project announcement!

I challenge YOU to make a difference where you live!
