Read-a-thon Book Donations

For my final Trash for Turtles project, I held a Read-a-thon. The Read-a-thon consisted of me reading a select group of marine conservation books, and in turn, people would sponsor each page. Additionally, I donated one copy of each sponsored book to a local library chosen by the winner of each month’s drawing. In all, I raised over $800 with my Read-a-thon and donated 7 copies of my books about sea turtles, ocean conservation, and marine debris. These titles will now be available to other kids (and kids at heart) to learn more about these issues in the future. Below is a collage of the libraries and the books donated to them!

Below is the book list in case you want to check these out from any of the libraries above or get one of your own. These books are all fantastic, and I can assure you, are great reads!

Congratulations to all of the people that won, and thank you to everyone who supported this year’s Read-a-thon! I’m so glad all of the money and books can go to a great cause!
